How to Wear: Summer Pants

Hello beautiful ladies!
So, I had a great weekend celebrating my younger sister's birthday! I spent Saturday eating far too much, seeing "The Other Woman" and driving to Novi for dinner with my family. I wore something a little warmer, it was a chilly day so I wanted to wear something summer-y but comfy. I recently bought a pair of peach pants at Nordstrom Rack and I LOVE them! I bought them originally to wear them with heels, but I wore some glitter flats instead.
Take a look at my photos from the weekend below…

My Outfit: Nordstrom top & Pants // forever 21 druzy stone necklace // Gap jean jacket //
Old Navy glitter flats // forever 21 bag

My Sister's Outfit: Everything forever 21 except necklace, which is from Pitaya

I love how easy this outfit is. I actually felt like I was wearing my pj's all day! :)
It's hard to wear long pants in the summer, but I adore these flow-y style pant that is becoming very popular this season. If you are getting sick of dresses, skirts & shorts these pants are a great alternative!
I made up a few looks with some ideas on how to style these chic and simple summer pants!

How to Wear: Summer Pants

1. This is similar to what I wore this weekend. I love solid prints, flow-y fabrics and heels.   Keep the jewelry simple with this look, a tiny necklace or midi-rings are great!

2.  I adore floral pants this spring/summer! Because the pants have a louder print, wear a basic gray or white t-shirt to tone it down. Very chic and easy! I do think adding a statement necklace goes really well with this look.

3. Crop tops are everywhere this season, and if you are comfortable wearing them, pairing them with a breezy pant is a perfect look for summer! I love how the red stilettos add something extra to this outfit. It's important to keep your neck bare with a top that has more volume to it. I like adding earrings to keep the focus on the layered top.

4. This look is doing the opposite of the 3rd look. I choose something more loud for the top, and simple sandals for the bottom. If you don't like wearing heels, these pants go great with flats and sandals as well. Don't forget a gold statement necklace either!

5. If you want something more cozy and comfy, but still cute, I love this sweater with these pants. Again, sandals go great with this pant style! I also like the boyfriend watch instead of big  earrings or necklace. This look is perfect for a rainy day!

If you are going to a restaurant or a movie theatre where you know the air conditioning will be pumping, bring along a solid blazer or jean jacket to stay warm indoors!

I hope you enjoyed my looks & styling tips for this easy summer style! Please feel free to comment below with suggestions, tips & your opinion on these looks, I love hearing from you!

Much Love,

ThrowBack Thursday // Leather & Florals

I was going through some photo's from last May, and I came across these pictures. I thought I would share them for a quick "Throwback Thursday" post! I love this leather skirt that I bought at Nordstrom Rack, and the top is from H & M. Mixing florals with a chic black leather skirt is one way to tone down the leather if you aren't as comfortable wearing the trend. I also added colorful heels and a clutch from Target to add something extra to the look. My nails are painted with a fun baby blue shade called "Bikini so Tiny" and my druzy stone ring is from Forever 21.
Sadly, since this is a throwback post I can't share the links to the items I'm wearing since they are no longer sold. However, Pinterest has some great links to find similar tops & skirts

Do you ever look back on pictures and remember outfits you loved? I would love to hear about them!
Feel free to leave a comment below, and share your thoughts & suggestions!
I truly love hearing from you!

Maxi Skirt Love

Hello lovely ladies! I am back from a short break from Shop Jolie. (I took last week off due to other projects.) I was able to take some photo's downtown this weekend. It was a little chilly, and so I threw on a long pleated maxi skirt, an embellished T-shirt & my jean jacket. Thankfully it was sunny, so I also wore sandals & sunnies! :) Here is my very first post sharing one of my current favorite outfits from my personal closet. I can't wait to share more photos with you all when the weather gets nicer!

Michael Kors Watch // Bag- Phillip Lim for Target (Sadly, all sold out.)

I love wearing maxi skirts this time of the year. Its a little too chilly for shorter skirts, but too warm for long pants. This outfit was perfect for having Sushi & doing some shopping downtown this weekend.

I also fell in love with this skirt/short "skort" from a cute boutique in downtown Ann Arbor. You can find similar ones at TopShop!

And how cute is this record player from Urban Outfitters?? Im obsessed.

I spent a good part of my saturday downtown shopping with my sister, and I tried on some beautiful clothes from this cute store, Pitaya. I love shopping for spring/summer clothes!

I hope you all had a lovely weekend, and that you are enjoying transforming your wardrobe for spring & summer! I sure have loved adding bright colors and loosing those dreary shades from winter.
I love reading your comments & getting suggestions and feedback, so feel free to leave a note below!

P.S. Keep your eyes open for a spring giveaway coming very soon!!

My Spring To-Do List

Happy Thursday! Thank goodness Friday is just a little ways away, am I right?
I was thrilled to find the sun shinning today.
And the warmer weather has finally started because it was 70 degrees outside! YAY!

I found a great list on one of my favorite blogs, The Glitter Guide, the other day. They listed their spring to-do list, and this gave me a great idea to make my own, and also share some of the things I want to do over the next few months with all of you!
Here is their list….

And here are some of the things I want to do this spring, I hope you will have a chance to do them too!

I have several books on my to-read list, but I really want to read Rachel Zoe's new book "Living in Style." it sounds so good!
I want to spend more time exercising. I want to do more yoga, bike riding etc. And I also want to start eating more fruits & veggies. I want to get ready for swimsuit season, while also having fun exercising & eating well.

It is a great time to go through your home & clean things from top to bottom! I always do my spring cleaning in April, and I go through my clothes at this time as well. When going through the items I want to keep, I also spend time looking at blogs and Pinterest to get ideas for spring trends & new outfit inspirations. I took the pictures from today's post from Tumblr. I love looking at my site to get inspired when re-decorating or changing my wardrobe.
(Check out my Tumblr page for more inspiring photos like these…. dreamalittledream4me.tumblr.com)

Don't forget to get outside, roll down your windows & let in the fresh breeze! It feels amazing after months of cold and cloudy weather. I like to eat outside at restaurants as often as I can in the spring and summer,
really take advantage of this when you can!

Try out new recipes, buy a bottle of wine you've never had before,
make a fruity cocktail, buy fresh flowers to add to your coffee table...

Embrace the season through everything that you do!

Now is also the perfect time to buy a cute new umbrella, a sweet floral fragrance, and a new shade of lipstick!

I hope you enjoyed my list of spring to-do's! What are the things you love about spring?

Much love,

My Favorite Skin Care Products

Happy Tuesday! It is finally starting to feel like spring in Michigan, and my skin is very grateful for that! It can be so dry in the winter months, I have to fight to keep my skin hydrated. Luckily, I have perfected my skin treatment over the years, and I thought that I would share my favorite skin care products, for both my face & body!

Beauty Essentials

Face Routine:

My favorite item EVER bought for my skin, is my Clarisonic Mia. I bought mine from Sephora, and  I have seen an incredible change in my complexion! It was a little pricy, but EXTREMELY worth it! I use this every day, usually only before bed. Sometimes I use it in the shower, or in the morning before I do my makeup, depending on my skin's needs. You can use any cleanser with it! $125
I have been using this face wash for over a year now, and I really love it. I rarely have issues with acne anymore, but this takes care of those random pop up pimples before they can get too out of control. $25

Mario Badescu Skin Care foaming facial cleanser
I love this facial cleanser. I bought it at Ulta when i ran out of my Murad cleanser. This works just as well, but I ran out of it quicker. I like to switch between the two cleansers, because they are both pretty gentle but very effective. $15

I bought this just last week at Target. The coolest part of this moisturizer, is that it adds a slight tan glow to your skin! I put this on before bed, and i like it so far! $15

I put this on before bed sometimes as well. I love Burts Bees! $8

This moisturizer is a little more expensive, but is lasts for a long time! I use this before putting on my makeup, because it hides pores, and smells heavenly! $35

I can't emphasize enough how much I LOVE LUSH. They have every beauty product you could think of, and they are completely natural & don't test on animals! They have amazing products for both men and women. I love their face masks. They make them fresh and they run from $6-$20.

My favorite mask from LUSH is their chocolate mask. It literally smells like chocolate, and I have to hold myself back from wanting to eat it! It feels great on your skin, and does a miracle on your complexion.

Body Routine:

I love having a flowery sent in the shower, and I love Philosophy, so this is the best of both worlds! $23

My favorite trick for moisturizing is using body oil! If you don't want to spend money on the more expensive oils, baby oil by johnson & johnson works just as well! $25

Bath bombs are my favorite thing to buy for a bubble bath. LUSH sells the coolest bath bombs, and they smell amazing! My favorite sent is twilight. I can't get enough! They turn your bath water into cool shades, some of them look like there is a  firework show in your tub! :) $5

Lush also carries a bath bomb that is covered in glitter. Need I say more?
I discover this brand over the summer at a cute local shop. They carry great products, and I love the smell of their lotion. I use this after getting out of the bath or shower, and it leaves my skin silky smooth and smelling fabulous! $20

Well, that sums up my current beauty favorites! I hope you enjoyed my list & I hope you have a chance to try some of my favorite skin care products out.
Have a wonderful week!
